Senator Ibrahim Saminu Turaki, born July 14, 1963, is an exceptionally brilliant Actuarial Scientist and a cornerstone of Nigerian political history.   • Founded Galaxy ITT (now Galaxy Backbone), the first state-owned broadband satellite network in Nigeria.
  • Established the Informatics Institute Kazaure, the first IT-based tertiary institution in Nigeria.

  • Pioneered e-governance, linking all MDAs and Emirate councils.

  • Initiated the concept of the National Pension Reform Scheme in 1999.
